    I am looking for a CMS/blog script, which allows me to create posts and pages.

    I want:

    - Minimal features

    - No in-built plugins/widgets

    - URL rewriting

    - Lightweight in file size (admin/functional files)

    - Very simple templates… Eg:

    <html>
    <html blah>
    <? navigation goes here? >
    <html blah>
    <? posts go here ?>
    <html blah>

    I have tried and am not interested in the following for this project:

    - WordPress

    - Drupal

    - Habari

    - Fanupdate

    - Cutenews

    Yikes Cutenews? You realize that’s a bannable offense, right? :P

    How about:

    Chyrp or

    Flatpress ?

    Ooh! I didn’t think of Chyrp, because last I heard it had ceased development. It looks like a winner for me though! :)

    I mentioned Cutenews in case novices were going to reply… But I don’t think GWG is up to that stage, is it? :P

    If you make it thru Chyrp, please share how you did !

    I’m using it right now but I just can’t change the look of it.

    It saddens me ;)

    I would have suggest Gelato, quite simple but I can’t remember if it makes Page. Moreover, it ain’t updated anymore ( kind of dead but not officialy )

    Cutenews is just as horrible as Fanupdate. *cough*

    @bluetie, you can check out Cherry.nu. Lisa (the webmistress) makes use of Chyrp as her website’s CMS. :)

    If Habari is no good to you, Chyrp will be no better (certainly older versions that I developed with)

    chyrp can be quite frustrating – I’m using it for my portfolio (that isn’t actually published yet.)

    It’s nice in some ways and I like the way it “feels” but there are some things that are frustrating and I had to do some weird tweaking in the chyrp code itself to get some things to work for me.

    Just a heads up! (also, I plan on writing some chyrp tutorials once my site is up because there is pretty much zero documentation out there right now.)

    @Rose : <3

    I’m those stupid who always needs tutorials to get me started ^^

    @Jem : Thanks for the link, I visited and in the askme question part, there is a small info about Chyrp -> try and you’ll learn ( resumé :) )

    Does anyone know if Chyrp’s comment system has any spam protection?

    I think it does (or at least did) – I have the older version running on a test system and it has a space for you to add in an Akismet key. Not used that bit myself so not sure how well it works, but it seems like it would do the job. :)

    I found something pretty cool. It’s Wolf CMS, this also looks very simple and lightweight. I’m going to give this a try as well as Chyrp.

    @Taruto Is it based off of Frog CMS? It looks like it…

    Yep. Wolf CMS is the descendant of Frog CMS… And I really really like how its templates and components are set out. :) It suits me well.

    Oh. I’d also like to add CMS Made Simple, love it. <3
