Since this is in the suggestions forum and this is about the forum software, I’ll post here instead of making a new topic. It would be awesome if you could add an unread posts feature so it’s easy to see new posts in all forums. I found a plugin here:

I bookmarked CodeGrrl forums to take me straight to the unread posts there and it would be very handy to have that here.

I’ve added it, but I don’t think it gives an unread posts page as such, just stylistically shows a difference between topics with unread, and no unread posts.

I am 90% sure there’s a latest posts tag built in to bbpress but I have a lot of fiddling to do.

OK, as a stop-gap I’ve turned back on the latest posts block on the front page. As soon as I can figure out how to turn this into a page of its own I will do.

Héhéhé : just passing by to say thanks -> always wanted to test it. Heard somewhere it is suppose to become embeded into WordPress one day ( or is it in another version such as WordPressMu or BuddyPress ? )

We have bbPress and WordPress tied in together – if I remember correctly it asked for details as part of the installation. It means that we can use bbPress logins in WP and vice versa

Another request: when you view the list of topics in a forum, it’d be great to have the topic starter listed instead of/in addition to “Last Poster”. I got confused for a while, and would also in the future like to know who started which topic

Yeah – that’s the default setting in bb. I (or Jem!) will look into it for I completely agree.

1)The code/backticks add extra br tags on edit.

I tend to edit my posts a lot (small posting space is my excuse ), and when I have some code snippet in there, after edit, it always inserts some extra br tags. Very annoying, as I have to edit the post twice, to remove the br tabs.

2) Also, can we please have the edit link last till a thread is closed? :B

I sometimes make these atrocious spelling mistakes (need to erase evidence you know?).
